Food for Thought: Another study linking proving that how we eat affects how we think! There was a recent study published in Psychoneuroendocrinology Journal February 2013 indicating a possible link to high fat diets and neurological conditions like ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, mood swings, behavioral problems and memory/learning disabilities. The studies were done with mice and are not conclusive, however, Western Civilizations have been eating 6 times more “unburned” carbohydrates over the past two decades than the rest of the world and so it’s no surprise that diabetes moved up to the top 5 ways Americans die in the past few years as well. Additionally the one of the top research groups in the world, the Lancet Research Group made national headlines a couple years ago and concluded a study stating ADHD was linked to diet.
